ABC plans on mixing up the network drama format, by making their very own surfing drama!
The big Disney-owned broadcast channel just bought The Break, a drama set in the world of Santa Cruz surfing competitions.
Created by Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants writer Elizabeth Chandler, the show will be about a teen girl, who has “a troubled and mysterious past who is sent to the surfing town to live with the father she’s never known.”
Oh, the CW is gonna be sooo jealous of this one! 😛
It sounds like a ABC Family show… but according to our source, ABC is planning on putting it up on the big station.
So far, we don’t know who will star in the show — but we know a few surf-loving celebs that would LOVE to guest star!
