Do you remember the PBS kids’ show Zoboomafoo??
It was a super cute show that centered around two brothers, Martin and Chris Kratt, and their lemur co-host Zoboomafoo!
Zoboomafoo was played by both a puppet and a real lemur named Jovian. Sadly, Jovian passed away on Monday at the Duke Lemur Center. The puppet’s current condition is unknown.
Don’t be too sad though, he lived to the ripe old age of 20!

Jovian, along with his parents, would play the Zoboomafoo character, with Jovian taking the role more often than his parents.
Jovian’s keepers at the Duke Lemur Center first noticed something was off over the past year or so. Last month Jovian was much less playful than others. He eventually died of kidney failure.
A lemur like Jovian would normally only live 15 years in the wild so the fact that he lived to 20 just shows how good of a life he must’ve had!
