We’re less than a month away from a major election in the United States — the fight between Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump. Most of us know who we’re voting for already. And the rest of us are (hopefully) researching the candidates and their policies and thinking about this very important decision.
But not Alabama Barker! Not even one bit!! Travis Barker‘s 18-year-old daughter took to an Instagram livestream this week and revealed to the chat that she is NOT voting in the election. Which, OK, just off the jump, that’s a big eye roll. But the reason why she is not voting is somehow even more infuriating than her decision to stay away in the first place!!
During the stream, she was asked in the chat about politics, and she said:
“I talk about it [politics], and I’m not fully educated. But I do have an opinion, and I keep it to myself.”
Well, OK. Nothing worse than a person uneducated on politics just spouting off about it and sharing their ill-informed opinions, we suppose.
But then things took a TERRIBLE turn. Kourtney Kardashian‘s step-daughter revealed that she wasn’t even going to take the time to get educated so she could vote in this election:
“Not voting isn’t crazy in my opinion at all, because if I don’t feel like I have the exact education for what I’m voting for, how is it right for me to vote for something that I’m not completely educated on?”
And then she dropped a BOMB!!! Her resistance to getting educated about political issues comes about because, in Alabama’s own words, she simply just doesn’t care:
“I could educate myself, but then again, why am I doing that if I genuinely really don’t care?”
Girl, what the F**K?!?!?!?! After viewers started calling her out for that INSANE take, the teenager replied:
“I’m just honest. I don’t care to vote if I don’t know exactly what’s going on. I don’t think that’s wrong, and I completely stand on that, and I stand by it. First of all, I just turned 18. I’ve never voted before. We all know this — you can’t vote until you’re 18. I’ve never voted. If I don’t want to vote, I don’t have to vote. And if I don’t want to be in politics, I don’t have to be in politics.”
She then would only concede that “maybe next year I’ll vote” and admitted to being “a little bit stupid” about it after taking more heat in the comments:
“I could educate myself. I do have an opinion. I have an opinion on what I feel is right because of what I’ve been seeing. I feel like one of the voters … uh, one of the people, the runners, candidates is a mess. See, I’m telling you, I’m not educated. I’m a little bit stupid. The privilege is showing. Like, what? Because I don’t want to vote? I’m not educated on it. Maybe next year I’ll vote?”
Girl… there is no next year… presidential elections are every four years. You’d know that if you educated yourself!! Ch-ch-check out the wildly infuriating clip (below):

CRAZY!
Right on cue, on Wednesday night, Landon Barker‘s little sis returned to her IG Stories to address the hubbub and claim that she was “committed to educating myself further” on voting and politics:
“I would like to clarify my recent statements regarding voting, which have been widely discussed on various social media platforms. My primary concern is that I do not feel adequately informed about either candidate, nor do I feel entirely satisfied with either option. I acknowledge that during a recent live stream, I mistakenly mentioned next year’s election; I realize elections occur every four years, and I understand how this may appear insensitive or uninformed. I am committed to educating myself further on this matter.”
