You should totally go for it, Alec!
Back in June, we learned that Alec Baldwin was considering running for Mayor of New York City as a democratic candidate, and we were thinking he’d probably have a lot of public support if he went for it.
Now, Alec still might run for Mayor of NYC, but if he does he won’t run in the upcoming 2013 race because he’ll still be busy with 30 Rock.
According to a recent interview, Alec is saying that he might enroll in a master’s program in politics and government, in an effort to get a better idea of what a Mayor’s job entails before actually declaring himself a candidate once his TV obligations are done.
We think the course of action that Alec’s taking here is wonderful! We’re glad that he wants to be so knowledgeable and prepared for the Mayor position, instead of just jumping into it without proper background.
Bravo, Mr. Baldwin! We certainly don’t want you to leave 30 Rock, but we definitely approve of these possible post-NBC plans of yours.
