Uh oh!
The fallout from Alec Baldwin‘s paparazzi run-in might be even worse than anyone imagined!
MSNBC just suspended the hot-tempered TV host for TWO WEEKS following his alleged use of super insensitive, homophobic slurs when dealing with the paparazzi earlier this week.
Which is completely understandable, especially considering the entire incident was caught on camera. Surely that’s bad for business.
Alec issued a statement earlier, apologizing for his behavior. He said:
“I did not intend to hurt or offend anyone with my choice of words, but clearly I have ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ and for that I am deeply sorry.”
Apparently sorry wasn’t good enough for the network, though!
Just as the 30 Rock star was getting used to his new Friday night gig of hosting Up Late With Alec Baldwin, they’ve decided to bench him!
Hopefully he uses this time away from work to reflect upon his transgressions!
Though the 55-year-old actor partially denied saying a certain super harmful word, even threatening to sue publications that report otherwise, he did offer a pretty sincere sounding apology for his behavior.

I would like to address the comments I made this past week.
I did not intend to hurt or offend anyone with my choice of words, but clearly I have – and for that I am deeply sorry. Words are important. I understand that, and will choose mine with great care going forward. What I said and did this week, as I was trying to protect my family, was offensive and unacceptable. Behavior like this undermines hard-fought rights that I vigorously support. I understand “Up Late” will be taken off the schedule for tonight and next week.
I want to apologize to my loyal fans and to my colleagues at msnbc – both for my actions and for distracting from their good work. Again, please accept my apology.
