Megyn Kelly has got to be pissed about this.
On Thursday evening, Alex Jones took to Twitter to reveal that he’d recorded his pre-interview conversation with the NBC News journalist. As you likely know, the InfoWars host sat down with Miz Kelly to have an in-depth conversation about Jones’ beliefs in several controversial conspiracy theories — one of those theories being that the Sandy Hook massacre was faked.

However, after feeling like he wasn’t properly portrayed during their chat, the 43-year-old called for the blonde TV personality to pull their interview. Megyn has stood by her interview, even after getting backlash from the families of Sandy Hook victims. The political commentator’s resolution inspired the far-right radio show host to release their off-the-record pre-interview in its entirety.
In the leaked audio (below), the former Fox News host can be heard trying to woo the controversial writer. According to Kelly, she became “fascinated” by Jones after his divorce proved he was more than a “one-dimensional guy.” Specifically, Megyn noted:
“It just reminded me you’re just like anybody, you’re a dad, and go through the same things we go through, and I thought that would be an interesting story to tell├óΓé¼┬ª this is not going to be a contentious, gotcha exchange. I want to do in-depth profiles on people. So I can ask you [about your Sandy Hook and Pizzagate claims] but this isn’t going to be, ├óΓé¼╦£ah-ha, let’s play a clip.’ ├óΓé¼┬ª I’m not looking to portray you as a boogyman├óΓé¼┬ª I just want to talk about you, I want to get to get to know you. And the craziest thing of all would be if some people who have this insane version of you in their heads walk away with, ├óΓé¼╦£You know what? I see the dad in him, and loves those kids and is more complex than I’ve been led to believe.”
Oh damn. On why he decided to release the conversation, Jones explained:
“I’ve never done this in 22 years, I’ve never recorded another journalist, but I knew it was a fraud, that it was lie. God, she was like, ├óΓé¼╦£I want to get steaks with you, I’m obsessed with you, oh my god,’ wiggling around in her seat. It was all crap. I knew it was all a lie. I said Sandy Hook happened, and she wouldn’t even put it in the promo pieces. So we’re going to release ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ oh yeah ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ the pre-interview. And then when they put the fraud out on Sunday ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ which I’ve asked them not to air because they’re misrepresenting who I am and say I’m as bad as Saddam Hussein├óΓé¼┬ª we’ve got the whole interviews here ├óΓé¼┬ª You’re going to hear what I actually said ├óΓé¼┬ª it’s all going to come out tonight.”
Despite promising to not “double-cross” him, Alex claims Megyn spent 30 to 40 minutes dragging him for his conspiracy theories. To make matters worse for Kelly and NBC, Jones is saying he also secretly recorded their long four-hour sit-down and plans to release it after his interview airs on Sunday. Whoa.
We knew Jones sucked, but he’s really turned into the guest from hell. Oof.
