Whether or not they hooked up, Drake Bell and Amanda Bynes are totez bestiez — at least according to Drake.
While the world questions every step Amanda takes thanks to some VERY questionable behavior, her former Nickelodeon co-star insists that his apparent BFF‘s recent arrest, bizarre Twitter rants, and obsession with beauty is all thanks to the media’s negative attention and NOT poor mental health.
YUP.
Actually, Drake swears he just had lunch with his “close” friend and vows that “she’s brilliant, she’s good, and she’s healthy.”
The Splash star defended her by saying:
“Amanda is a beautiful, artistic, funny soul. She├óΓé¼Γäós in a place right now where she is searching. She├óΓé¼Γäós ready to be her own person, and do her own thing. She├óΓé¼Γäós experiencing life for real, without the spotlight, for the first time. She is a girl who is finding herself. It hurts me and it upsets me, because I look at her and talk to her, and we├óΓé¼Γäóll sit down for lunch or dinner, and I├óΓé¼Γäóm like ├óΓé¼╦£Amanda, what is going on?├óΓé¼Γäó And she├óΓé¼Γäós like ├óΓé¼╦£whatever.├óΓé¼Γäó She├óΓé¼Γäós the same beautiful, funny, artistic, thoughtful person that she├óΓé¼Γäós always been, but she decided to change her hairstyle. She got a bad hairdo and shaved her head, so she had to get extensions. We’d LOVE to believe that our old friend Amanda is just fine, but actions speak louder than words.
We’re sure Drake is coming from a good place, but we just hope he isn’t enabling her to do anything else that might land her in cuffs or hurt people with her harsh rants.
He is certainly NOT helping her by blaming her strange behavior on the media!!!
There is no question that Amanda is a “beautiful, artistic, funny soul,” but there also seems to be no question that she could DEFINITELY use someone to talk to and not just about her piercings and shaved head!!!
