The latest photos of Amanda Bynes smoking pot while driving with a suspended license don’t just have us worried — her friends are worried too!
While those closest to her have realized she may have a substance abuse problem for some time, she’s refusing to undergo any kind of treatment. Referring to the former child star as “a lost little girl, ” a friend of hers explained:
“Amanda is refusing to go to rehab or seek any form of psychiatric treatment or diagnosis, because it’s clear something is up with her. She has been told by her agent and her dad Rick that she has substance abuse issues and needs to get help. She’s a lost little girl right now.”
As dozens of paparazzi photos revealed, she obviously has some kind of issue if she feels the need to run errands and drive aimlessly around the city while she’s high!
We wish she would listen to her friends, but it sounds like she’s beginning to shut people out of her life, as her pal continued:
“Amanda’s completely gone off the grid. She won’t speak with her manager, her agent, her publicist; she’s not returning anybody’s phone calls. She’s obviously crying out for help, but isn’t ready to receive it. She seems to be having some serious mental health issues and she’s always out of it. She really doesn’t seem to be in touch with reality.”
We had a feeling she was on the cusp of a downward spiral starting last spring after her DUI arrest, but it doesn’t feel good to know we were absolutely correct.
It’s intervention time, people!
