Oh boy!
When Matt Farmer auditioned with his little girl on American Idol, we were touched (watch above)!
He went on and one about coming into contact with an exploding IED in Iraq, one that he claimed left him with traumatic brain injury.
But when his war brothers saw him on television, they came forward with statements to denounce his claims as disgraceful bullshizz!
Feeling the pressure, he admitted:
“It was ALL lies. I in fact HAVE lied since a younger age and had a problem with it. I am coming out and making a statement (even though I was instructed not to) because I DO want to come clean. I was told to keep quiet and not talk to anyone, and I have decided that what├óΓé¼Γäós best for me and my family is to come out and end the insanity. I indeed have many many things to work with and need to get a lot of help doing it. Again I apologize to everyone that I have come across and hurt or lied too. I am EXTREMELY remorseful and VERY upset that I allowed myself to take from the hard work of the guys that I was deployed with among others. To think that I would go on a national TV show and get away with continuing a lie so big, and so deeply imbedded in my life and brain …is ridiculous.”
Oh wow. That’s gotta be rough.
We definitely don’t condone the fraud, especially when it cost someone else a ticket to Hollywood, but it sounds like his conscious is punishing him enough as it is!
Hopefully he can look into some therapy that would help him with his pathological lying!
