Two heavy-hitters in fashion, Numero Russia’s Andr├â┬⌐ Leon Talley and Def Jam├óΓé¼Γäós Russell Simmons are NOT seeing eye-to-eye, not one bit!
Everything started when Simmons parodied iconic freedom fighter Harriet Tubman in a sex tape for what was meant to be a comedic post on All Def Digital.
As you can imagine, the video was more offensive than humorous, to the extent that André told theGrio last week:
“I think anyone that is a person of achievement on the front row that has achieved a great deal, be they black or white, is a good thing. I don├óΓé¼Γäót think Russell Simmons should be seated on anybody├óΓé¼Γäós front row this week after having done that disgusting Harriet Tubman sex tape. He is a man of great achievement. He is a great philanthropist├óΓé¼┬ª.why would he think it would be an honorable thing to do? He said he thought it was funny. That is not funny it is outrageously disrespectful to the legacy and history of Harriet Tubman and to the struggle.”
Talley was referring to the front row at New York Fashion Week, to which Russell responded on Twitter over the weekend:

In case you were unaware, Simmons is a huge animal rights activist and has won multiple awards from PETA.
He’s also a major supporter of equal rights, and is apparently now calling Andr├â┬⌐ out for not being as supportive as him.
