She loves to do good! And we love her for it!
Angelina Jolie took a break from filming Salt to go to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands, on Tuesday, where a Congolese warlord is being charged with using child soldiers.
As an activist, Angelina has always been concerned with the welfare of the world’s children. She remarked that this would be a “landmark trial for children” and we’re sure it was a great privilege for her to assist in the proceedings.
The man, Thomas Lubanga, is the founder and former leader of the Union of Congolese Patriots political movement and has pleaded not guilty to charges of recruiting and using child soldiers .
No word yet if Angelina plans to adopt all the child soldiers in question.
