Angelina Jolie Honors Young Pakistani Activist Who Was SHOT In The Head Because She Wanted To LEARN!

All around awesome human being Angelina Jolie added another notch to her humanitarian belt Thursday while at the Women in the World gala in NYC (above)!
Brad Pitt‘s future (current?!) wife delivered an inspiring, yet heartbreaking speech honoring Malala Yousafzai, a young Pakistani activist who was shot in the head by the Taliban simply because she wanted equal opportunity education for girls.
Angie has also donated $200,000 to an educational fund set up in Malala’s name that will go towards funding various educational projects specifically for females.
It’s a sad fact of the world that human beings are still oppressed because of various religious or cultural beliefs. We only hope that these blatant violations of human rights will be addressed and eradicated (somewhat, at least) in our lifetime!
