Things have been a LOT better between Angelina Jolie and her father Jon Voight since they had a major falling out in the early 2000’s, but apparently there are still a few minor communication issues to work out!
Jon says he had NO clue that his daughter was planning on having a double mastectomy to lower her risk of cancer! In fact, he had to find out about it the same way we all did: Through the internet!
Angie and her dad saw each other just two days before she went under the knife, but he says the subject never came up for some strange reason:
“I saw her two days ago with my son Jamie. We all got together for his birthday, with her and Brad (Pitt). But I didn├óΓé¼Γäót know. It wasn├óΓé¼Γäót obvious at all. I found out (Tuesday) morning.”
Angelina and her family were trying to keep a very tight lid on her operation before she made her announcement earlier this week and didn’t tell ANYONE, but it is a bit shocking that she wouldn’t tell her own father!
Jon says the two met up again yesterday and she gave him a quick lesson in double mastectomy 101, so now he’s totally up to speed!
Despite being left out of the loop, Angelina’s pops says he’s completely understanding of her decision to keep everything under wraps and is proud of the way she’s handling things!
We couldn’t agree more, Jon!
