Apparently pumpkin smashing is not just for rowdy teens…
Animals at zoos in North Carolina, Seattle and Europe participated in the long-time tradition of pumpkin smashing!
Elephants, gorillas and chimps had a blast throwing and stomping on pumpkins to celebrate Halloween.
Zookeepers say the pumpkins provide mental and physical stimulation for the animals. They were able to smell and eat the pumpkins as well as smash them!
We are glad these guys got to have some Halloween fun!
