Ann Curry Asked By NBC Execs To Secure First TV Interview With Angelina Jolie!

Ann Curry and Angelina Jolie have built quite the rapport throughout their years in the industry. But that doesn├óΓé¼Γäót mean Ann will be the first to interview the actress since the reveal of her double mastectomy…
A source has revealed that the former TODAY Show co-host has been asked by NBC to “convince [Angelina] to give her first television interview about the procedure.” Apparently, NBC wants to schedule a two-hour, primetime special for the interview in addition to a spot on TODAY.
The source added:

├óΓé¼┼ôAnn would be prominently featured in all of the promotions and publicity if Angelina agreed to do it… Angelina made it known after Ann was demoted from TODAY that the only journalist to interview her from the Peacock network would be Curry.├óΓé¼┬¥

Despite the fact that Angelina’s interview would garner HUGE ratings for the network that gets it, it seems Ann doesn’t feel right taking advantage of her friendship with the star.
The insider continued:

├óΓé¼┼ôAnn just doesn├óΓé¼Γäót operate that way. Of course she├óΓé¼Γäód love to do the interview with Angelina, but she isn├óΓé¼Γäót going to exploit her friendship with her to get it… Ann has sent flowers to Angelina and reached out to Brad Pitt├óΓé¼Γäós camp because Jolie doesn├óΓé¼Γäót have a publicist. If and when Angelina is ready to discuss the possibility of doing the interview, she knows how to reach Ann.├óΓé¼┬¥

We’re glad to hear it, Ann! Exploitation is never a true sign of friendship.
But that’s not to say we’re not anxious for this interview!
