As we saw yesterday, things got super weird and pretty uncomfortable between Ann Curry and Matt Lauer during Ann’s goodbye to the Today show!
Ann hadn’t even been gone for long before Savannah Guthrie stepped sat in her place this morning as co-host, alongside Matt!
Now we├óΓé¼Γäóre hearing that things were JUST as awkward behind the scenes…if not even MORE tense off-air!
During Ann’s last week on the show, an insider described the atmosphere, revealing:
“It was so icy on the set. You could cut the tension with a knife.”
After 15 years working on the morning show and just one year as co-host, you’d think Matt and Ann would be besties, right??
A source spilled about the duo’s REAL dynamic, saying:
“When the cameras stopped rolling, Ann wouldn’t even look at Matt.├óΓé¼┬¥
As viewers might’ve caught on yesterday’s show, Ann hugged everyone EXCEPT for Lauer!!
Oh shiz!! Something really must have gone down…!
A source on set said that Ann├óΓé¼Γäós goodbye to Today felt more like a ├óΓé¼┼ôfuneral in a way├óΓé¼┬¥…pretty much to everyone BUT Lauer!
Like we said earlier, Savannah appeared in the opening from this morning’s broadcast and has replaced Ann on the show.
We can’t wait to see what’s next for Ann after all this mess is done and dusted!! We wish her the best!
