Anna Faris may be unqualified, but she’s never uninteresting!
On the latest episode of her podcast, the Mom star opened up about unfaithful men with special guest Kat Von D, who — we’re sad to say — knows a thing or two about the subject.
In Anna’s case, she lamented not having trusted her gut when she was sure an ex was cheating on her.

She did NOT name the ex, but it’s clear it was a big relationship as she mentions she was with the guy for years. She recalled a moment she finally mustered the strength to confront her significant other with her suspicions, telling Kat:
“I woke him up in the middle of the night and was like, ‘Are you f**king so-and-so?’ and he was like, ‘You’re crazy.'”
And… that was that. She let it go. As she explained:
“I’m pretty oblivious sometimes, you know — especially in relationships, of course I don’t want to believe that anything… but there was that gut feeling that was starting to grow more and more.”
However, she “chose to bury” the feeling because she was worried about the way her ex-man would view her.
“Not to be too gender-specific… I do think as women we’re sort of taught to suppress fear or suspicion because we might be deemed as suspicious or neurotic or crazy or whatever.”
It’s so true! Though we’re sure many men feel pressured to suppress their suspicions as well, there just isn’t the same stigma.
For Anna, it was too much, so she let it go forever. The entire relationship continued for years after.
“I think in my case, I was like, ‘Okay, maybe he’s right, maybe I am crazy.'”
Buuuut as you might have guessed, she wasn’t. She told her guest she later found out through friends — after the breakup, naturally — that her suspicions were correct, and the guy WAS cheating with the woman she was worried about.
Now again, we cannot stress enough Anna did not name names in her story.
However, we can’t help but notice the similarities between this story and what happened with Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence.
When Anna and Chris announced their shocking split in August 2017, the Internet went wild with speculation he had cheated with his Passengers co-star. After all, her description of working herself to her sex scene with the married man sounded less than strictly business. And their chemistry on the press tour was undeniable.
Anna at first completely denied this was a factor — but just a couple months later admitted in her memoir what an impact the speculation of an affair had on her:
“I talked to Chris about how hurt I felt, even though I knew there were no truth to the stories, and he didn’t understand at first… I didn’t want to pay attention to the stories but I couldn’t block them all out, either. I’d always taken pride in our relationship, and the coverage, even though it was just false rumors, was making me feel insecure.”
She did call the rumors of an affair “patently untrue” at the time.
However, if this was the incident to which she was referring on the podcast, it would still fit — as she said her suspicions didn’t get confirmed until after that relationship was over.
On the other hand, the press tour for Passengers was in December 2016, so they didn’t stay together for years after that.
