Police Double Down On New Search Of Annie Guthrie's Neighborhood As Mom Remains Missing -- But Why??

Police Search Annie Guthrie's Neighborhood

Law enforcement was back in full force searching around Annie Guthrie‘s neighborhood. Hmm.

On Tuesday, authorities returned to Annie and her husband Tommaso Cioni‘s neighborhood amid the search for Nancy Guthrie. They live about 10 minutes away, and Nancy was at their home the night before she disappeared for dinner. They are believed to be the last people who saw her before she vanished in the middle of the night.

Police have ramped up investigative efforts at their home in recent days. On Tuesday, Pima County Sheriff’s Department and FBI officials, including search and rescue crews, were seen going door-to-door chatting with neighbors and scoping out the area. One neighbor, Tony Zaccagnini, told People he’s spoken to three sheriffs regarding the case:

“They didn’t ask for my phone number or nothing, but I got a camera set up around my property in the back and in the front. … And they were there last week, asking to look at my cameras. We didn’t see nothing on it.”

When questioned, a Phoenix FBI spokesperson simply said:

“We’re not confirming anything at this time.”

Investigative reporter JRL Investigates, whose been on scene, wrote on X (Twitter):

“I personally saw the FBI going door to door in Anne Guthrie & Tommaso’s neighborhood.

Common theme was to ask each neighbor if they seen anything suspicious, asked for consent to search inside / outside their home & wrote their license plates down on their vehicles.

Everyone I saw them encounter cooperated. Some of the homes the owners were waiting for FBI, so could of been prearranged. Few homes no one answered, so assuming FBI would have to go back.”

It remains unclear why they’re investigating Annie’s neighborhood so much.

Previously, Ashleigh Banfield claimed a source told her Tommaso might be a “prime suspect,” but the Pima County Sheriff’s Department denied those claims. But it looks like they have reason to believe there could be significant clues in this area! Why else would they be searching SO HARD in the neighborhood and at their home — which isn’t even considered the crime scene?? Hmm…

Wild. We hope they figure this out soon!

A tip line has been set up: see HERE. The FBI has offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie, and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.
