We’re not surprised by this at all!
There’s not too many places to go when even the President is saying that this is the best move!
After the Democratic leaders prepared to hold a meeting today to discuss stripping Rep. Anthony Weiner of his assignments, the Congressman has reportedly told his friends that he plans to resign his seat!
He allegedly spoke at great length about the matter with his wife, Huma Abedin, after she returned home on Tuesday from traveling abroad with her boss, Hillary Clinton, and between that and the pressure of an investigation against him by the House ethics committee against him, we imagine that the decision became a no-brainer for him!
Such a shame, but ultimately, we think this is for the best.
Lesson learned, people! Keep it in your pants!
ESPECIALLY if you’re pursuing a position in politics!
