Amazon is reportedly prepared to go head-to-head with Apple this fall by debuting their new Android-powered tablet computer at the same time Mac releases its third-generation iPad. They surely aren’t the first to try and take a piece of Apple’s tablet pie, but they might be the first with a fighting chance to succeed.
The world’s largest online retailer is reportedly producing more than a million tablet computers to debut in October. The tablet will have a 9-inch screen, have a built-in Kindle e-reader and the “ability to deliver digital media from books to music.”
