New year… same drama!
Back in 2018, on New Year’s Day, Jef Holm — winner of Emily Maynard‘s season of The Bachelorette — took a shot at runner-up Arie Luyendyk Jr., who became The Bachelor for season 22.

Holm wrote on Twitter:
“Doesn’t matter who gets out of the limo…I’ll give 5k to the charity of @chrisbharrison’s choice if @ariejr lasts 1 year with anyone.”
One year later, in 2019, Luyendyk is STILL with runner-up Lauren Burnham, and the two are getting married in Hawaii on January 12, and are expecting a child.
On Wednesday, the race car driver responded to the shady, 1-year-old tweet with even more shade! He wrote:
Pay up @jefholm… Put that trust fund money into something positive instead of bottle service. Asshole https://t.co/APS3H80BV3

Despite winning the hit ABC show, Holm split with Maynard less than three months after their engagement was revealed.
Prior to getting engaged to Burnham, Luyendyk proposed to season 14 Bachelorette Becca Kufrin, before changing his mind.
Once this story went viral, several Bachelor Nation alums — including Nick Viall and Tanner Tolbert — publicly supported Arie in the feud.
