Comedians are begging Artie Lange to clean up his act before his drug addiction gets the best of him.
Last month, the Crashing actor shared a photo of his “hideously deformed” nose that collapsed due to nearly 30 years of drug abuse — particularly, a recent accident where he accidentally snorted broken glass along with his Oxycontin.
This is it but I believe her nose had a septum and had not been hideously deformed due to over 3 decades of drug abuse. pic.twitter.com/U2LmcnpI4B

Now, his peers are urging the former Howard Stern sidekick to seek treatment before it’s too late.

The first plea came from Richard Lewis, who tweeted last week:
@artiequitter
Artie, this is my 1000th request over decades to beg you to surrender to your addictions. When you had time clean we had the most laughs sober. I love you. You’re beloved and a magnificent comedian cursed with self-loathing and fear. Give it up and live.???? pic.twitter.com/KzOyvSLaW3— Richard Lewis (@TheRichardLewis) January 7, 2019
Lange seemingly appreciated Lewis’ message, as he retweeted it last week.
Since then, more comics and stars — including Patton Oswalt, Gilbert Gottfried, and Casper star Devon Sawa — have joined the outcry in urging the 51-year-old comic to get clean:
What Richard said. Come ON, Artie. https://t.co/YcKpn6NC7G

coming up to 18 years in May. in early 2001 I’d have laughed at the idea of not drinking for 18 *days.* Art, I know you know the laughs are just as hearty on this side. I love you and am of course 100% in your very crowded corner.

Lange, who was spared jail time in December after testing positive for cocaine while serving four years probation for heroin possession support, was “blown away” by the outpouring of support.
He responded to his concerned friends on Sunday, tweeting that he hears them “loud and clear”:
Wow I just read this article. Guys I’m so blown away by this concern for me. I do not deserve it. I promise u I don’t mean any disrespect to u all. I want to live. I want to work. I’m so sorry if I cause u to worry. I love u & I hear u. Loud and clear. Artie

Hopefully this was the wake up call he needed.
