One health conscious perezcious reader wants her fam to start the day with a healthy choice. She asks:
“What is the best breakfast food to jump start my family in the morning?”
Good question! That’s something we’d like to know too!
Here’s what Ashley Koff had to say:
“Quality of the ingredients is key.
The real issue may not be what├óΓé¼Γäós in the breakfast food, but what is missing. Sugar provides quick brain and body energy, but when it isn├óΓé¼Γäót balanced by nutrients like protein and healthy fats, and is, instead, allowed to zoom into the body because there isn├óΓé¼Γäót any fiber to regulate it├óΓé¼Γäós pace, sugar can be an energy disaster.
My recommendation is to look for a breakfast that is more nutrient-balanced (that means it contains some carbs+protein+ healthy fats). For example, a Nature├óΓé¼Γäós Path Panini using waffles, Justin├óΓé¼Γäós nut butter, and some sliced organic fruit is an excellent option. This combination produces a better nutrient balance for better energy.”
