Elephants are so loving and smart and amazing! We can’t believe anyone would consider poaching!
While on safari in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Kicheche Laikipia and Sandy Gelderman shot some amazing footage.
They spotted a herd of elephants crossing a river so they began filming the cute creatures pushing through the strong current.
Everything goes smoothy until a baby elephant begins to get swept away!!
Laikipia said:
“With the river deep, mountain high banks are never easy for adults, let alone a six-month-old calf, so being washed away in the current was a very real possibility.”
So they watched, and filmed as the baby was pushed further from the herd.
But it wasn’t long until another elephant came over to try and push the baby upriver, helping her out.
It ended up taking the big momma elephant coming over and helping out to get her baby to safety!
