Ben Affleck Reportedly Done Playing Batman!

Batfleck, we hardly knew ye!
Warner Bros. is finally on the right track to roll out a successful DC movie universe that rivals Marvel — but it looks like the Justice League might already be starting to disassemble.
The studio is reportedly planning for a future of Batman movies without Ben Affleck, and is working to “gracefully” usher the movie star out of the franchise altogether!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, WB is moving forward with plans to make a new Batman trilogy from director Matt Reeves, which the studio claims it still wants Affleck to star in.
But their inside source says the studio is secretly working on plans to get rid of Affleck’s Batman within an upcoming DC movie, either having him retire or, more likely, killed off for the sake of continuity in the overall DC story arc.
In the comics, other characters have taken up the cape at times, including former sidekick Dick Grayson; could this be related to rumors WB is in talks with Armie Hammer, who was cast as Batman back in 2009 in George Miller‘s ill-fated Justice League movie? Are they preparing him to take over?? Hmm…
THR cites Affleck’s age as a major reason for the potential change. He’s currently 45 years old and would be approaching 50 around the time The Batman — which has still yet to be written, btw — comes out in 2019 (or later).
No matter what happens, be prepared for a major shake-up in the DC movie universe!
