Battleship has reportedly made $100 million within the first 10 days of being open for international release, and furthermore, is expected to hit the $126.7 million mark by tomorrow!
Universal Pictures made the apparently-very wise decision to premiere the game-turned-action flick, which stars Alexander Skarsgard and Rihanna, overseas first, and it paid off, as it was the #1 opener in 16 territories this week – including Russia, Ukraine – and 37 in the last TWO – including Germany, Austria, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam!
And it’s STILL going to open in Israel, South Africa, and Latin America before it hits the States and Canada on the 18th!
Yeah…we doubt this thing will have any trouble making back its budget – and then some!
