Transform Yourself Into A Morning Person

Some people say exercise is the best way to start your day. Others say, more sleep is a better way to start it. Ha!
But seriously, if you’re looking for a New Year’s resolution this year, maybe consider getting your exercise done first thing in the morning.
Here are a few tips to successfully transform your groggy, tired 5am self into a beaming bundle of morning joy.
Weigh the Pros and Cons:
Sports psychologists suggests drafting a checklist of pluses and minuses. For example, yes, you may have to go to bed earlier, but you may also feel more awake in the morning after a jog.
Get Your Family And Friends On Board:
Let them know you’re trying to make a positive change in your life so they can give you support through positive encouragement.
Get A Morning Buddy:
Running by yourself in the dark at 4 or 5 in the morning sucks. Running with a friend in the dark at 4 or 5 in the morning sucks less.
Find The Right Route:
Don’t just go out the door and start running. Map out a route so you don’t get lost, keep track of the distance your running and, most importantly, make sure it’s safe. Check out MapMyRun.com to easily map your route in seconds.
Wear The Right Gear:
Shorts and sneakers are a no-brainer (with the exception of the one guy who is always working out in boots and a pair of jeans at our gym), but not everyone is smart enough to wear bright colors when you’re running in the dark. Spice your outfit up with a few clip-on flashing lights and reflective vests too. Safety first!
Happy training!
