Ben Affleck has been quoted as saying:
“A man kissing another man is the greatest acting challenge an actor can ever face.”
Ugh, right?

When Evan Rachel Wood saw that in a headline on Tuesday, she snapped at the Justice League star, tweeting:
Try getting raped in a scene.
Also, grow up Ben. https://t.co/fohRbGDNJp

Preach!
The thing is though, Ben probably has grown up since the remark. Since he said it over 20 years ago.

See, the quote was relayed over the weekend by Kevin Smith at Los Angeles’ Outfest, in which he was discussing the filming of the LGBT-friendly indie comedy Chasing Amy on its 20 year anniversary.
The writer-director was sharing the story of how his pals Affleck and Jason Lee were both trepidatious about the scene in which they share a kiss, and how that was a common attitude back then.
So yeah, 24-year-old Ben Affleck does sound like kind of a dipshit. Thankfully, he seems to have a much more progressive attitude these days.
P.S. Wood has since acknowledged the timing, but stands firm in her commentary:
I’m sure he just thought it was a funny, but even jokes like that are damaging. https://t.co/pu1V5GVWyv

Also, you think us ladies like kissing all the guys we kiss? Just cause its a “straight kiss” doesnt mean we enjoy it. Ahem.
