Well, this is sad to hear!
Kevin Smith and Ben Affleck used to be best buddies and now they’re not — Jennifer Garner could probably tell you why!
Actually, the director himself can explain it.
In an interview with Yahoo! Movies, Kevin was asked about Comic-Con and if the new Batman actor was in attendance for any surprises.
He responded with a big fat IDK! Kevin said:
“Great question. I don├óΓé¼Γäót know, because we’re not f—ing tight. I have not been [close with him] in decades.
That’s old Ben. He’s got a wife [Jennifer Garner] that don’t [sic] care for me at all [Laughs]. And plus, honestly, he probably don’t care for me at all anymore [either]. He’s a triple-A-list movie star and s–t like that. If he’s Jimmy Carter, I’m Billy Carter, to put it in ’70s terms. And I’m not even related and s–t.”
It’s so sad to hear about best friends drifting away when they start their own family.
Or even when their significant other may be the reason why two friends end their friendship!
Ben and Kevin have worked on countless movie projects together when they were younger and before Ben became a family man!
Maybe one day these two will be able to reconnect over a film project!
