Whoa! We were shocked enough to hear Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were seen “holding hands and kissing” this weekend. But it turns out it was steamier than it sounded!
The PDA went down during a day out with the kids of all things. The exes took the entire mixed fam out to a Bennifer bunch brunch at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday. And when we say public display of affection, we mean it. Because it was at the celeb hot spot, paparazzi got the former couple going in. And they already look like they’re getting along famously!
The pics were apparently the point. According to a source spilling to Page Six on Monday evening, Ben was actually taking a page out of Jen’s book and doing a PR stunt. He was supposed to be showing to the world these two were not having a vicious divorce and could still be “friends”:
“It was Ben Affleck’s idea to meet there. He wanted to show that they are friendly exes.”
How do you show the world? You go somewhere the world has their eye on:
“You go there when you want to be seen. Paparazzi hang out there… He wanted those photos.”
However, the Good Will Hunting star miscalculated…

The insider says he was enchanted by J.Lo all over again and very quickly was all over his ex:
“Once they were together, he could not keep his hands off.”
DAMN!
The source explained the kissing part was NOT part of Ben’s plan — he legitimately couldn’t help himself:
“They have always had a lot of sexual chemistry. That was not planned. They are still attracted to one another.”
Well hell! They love one another, they’re unrelentingly attracted to one another, their kids want to stay a family… WORK IT OUT ALREADY! Right??
We wonder if it’s still what Jen wants, like we heard early on. She apparently wore her engagement ring to the brunch — but on her pinky. Almost like she knew she had Ben wrapped around her little finger… Hmm. (Does anyone else wonder if Matt Damon is trying to get these two back together and gave her some pointers?)
Look, it’s true, we’ve heard from a source who told People the couple “are still moving forward with the divorce.” So maybe this doesn’t change anything. But come on! This isn’t nothing! Right??
