9-Year-Old Makes It His Mission To See All Of The Sights The World Has To Offer Before He Goes Blind!

Ben Pierce is putting his eyes to as much use as possible before he goes blind!
This is a truly beautiful way to handle such a heartbreaking situation.
At just 9-years-old, Ben Pierce is preparing for a huge lifestyle change as his eyesight is slowly deteriorating due to a diseases known as retinopathy, which was caused by his premature birth.
The Dallas, Texas, native doesn’t have much longer until he’s completely blind, so he and his family decided to make the most of the time he has left with his vision and seeing as much as the world has to offer!
Ben put together a list of all of the things he wants to see and do before he goes blind, and it involves everything from a toy factory to the Louvre and Eiffel Tower in Paris!

Obviously paying for all of these trips and visits isn’t cheap for the Pierce family, but luckily they’ve already been able to cross a few things off of his wish list thanks to the kindness of others!
In fact, Ben and his family recently flew up to Alaska to see the Northern Lights, and the whole trip was paid for by Alaskan Airlines! And when Ben wanted to see a Vincent van Gogh painting in person, The Dallas Museum of Art invited him and his family to visit for free!
So what’s left on Ben’s list? Well his next trip will be to the Grand Canyon with his family, and after that there’s still PLENTY of fun things in store, like Big Ben in London, or the Food Network kitchen, and even a Weird Al concert!
Something tells us he’s definitely be able to knock a few more of these items off of his list soon!!
