Madoff's Undies, Shoes & Jewelry Bring In $2 Million

Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff‘s old possessions turned out to be a huge success at the U.S. Marshal auction on Saturday.

The big ticket item of the day was wife Ruth Madoff‘s 10.5 carat diamond ring that sold for $550K.

What a steal!

Another item that fetched a pretty penny were a pair of velveteen slippers with Bernie’s initials embroidered on them in gold thread. They went for $6000.

The strangest purchase by far had to be 11 pairs of unused designer boxers and 200 pairs of socks, which were purchased by the same man for $1,700.

Kinda creepy, even if they are new.

At the end of the day the auction brought in over $2 million, which will benefit Madoff’s victims.
