BET's Aaliyah Special Gets Strong Ratings

It’s been ten years after her unfortunate death, but Aaliyah is still clearly beloved.

BET’s special Aaliyah: One in a Million, which aired last week on the anniversary of her death, drew in strong ratings. 1.1 million viewers watched the special, making it the one of the top BET telecasts in 2011.

The special itself explored the life and music of Aaliyah’s short-lived career with never-before-seen footage, her most popular videos, and intimate conversations with her family and friends.

No matter what, people are still VERY much fascinated – and probably always will be – with baby girl’s life and short-lived career.

We’ll miss you, Aaliyah.
