Talk about six degrees of separation!
It seems that future royal Meghan Markle has something in common with Real Housewives of New York queen Bethenny Frankel. Apparently, the Skinnygirl founder once dated the Suits alum’s first husband, Trevor Engelson. What a small world!

On Monday, during her chat with Australia’s Kyle and Jackie O Show, Miz Frankel revealed her connection to Prince Harry‘s fianc├â┬⌐e. The Bravolebrity spilled:
“I met this guy as a romantic interest. His name is Trevor. I met him in Chicago and we were supposed to go out, and I ended up seeing him one time and he’d been texting me. He’s a producer in L.A. He told me that he was married before. He’s divorced [now]. He was married to this girl named Meghan Markle from the TV show Suits.”
At the time of this encounter, Bethenny knew very little about Meghan and had NO idea what Markle’s future would entail. However, once Meghan and Harry’s engagement was confirmed, Frankel had no qualms with shooting Trevor a text. Per the reality TV vet, she texted Markle’s ex:
“Holy shit! Your ex is going to be a princess. Is that crazy?”
Sadly, the 47-year-old didn’t reveal how Engelson responded to this quip. Although, if the gossip about the way Meghan ended her first marriage is true, we’re sure Trevor wasn’t THRILLED to learn that Meghan totally upgraded her romantic life.
As for Bethenny and Trevor’s relationship?? It sounds like they were destined to be business partners, rather than lovers. She continued:
“He pitched me a TV show idea to produce together about a bunch of businesswomen, which I think we are going to do.”
Very cool. On why she didn’t pursue a relationship with Markle’s former flame, the New York native revealed that Trevor looks “a little bit like [her] ex.” The businesswoman explained:
“He looks a little bit like my ex, which scares me. We bypassed the romantics and went into the business. But I don’t know there’s something there. There’s something salacious about doing a TV project with Meghan Markle’s ex.”
Too funny. We’re sure Meghan is unbothered by Trevor’s past interest in Bethenny, as she’s landed herself quite the royal bachelor!!
