Aretha! That’s not nice! LOL!
Apparently Beyonc├â┬⌐‘s lip synch of the Star Spangled Banner at President Obama‘s inauguration ceremony really touched Aretha Franklin…’s funny bone? We’re not even in the mood to guess why (how could you do this to us, Bey??)! LOLz! Jokes!
Here’s what Aretha said:
“When I heard the news this evening that she was pre-recorded I really laughed. I thought it was funny because the weather down there was about 46 or 44 degrees and for most singers that is just not good singing weather.”
That… doesn’t really explain why it’s funny. Either way, Aretha thinks that Bey did a “beautiful job,” even with all the hoaxin’ up in the place:
“When I heard that I just really cracked up. I thought it was really funny, but she did a beautiful job with the pre-record.”
Maybe she just wants everyone to remember her turn with the song at 2009’s inauguration?? Actually, she specifically wants us to remember that she wouldn’t touch that lip synching bizz AT ALL:
“‘I wanted to give people the real thing and pre-recording never crossed my mind.”
You win, Aretha, you always do! LOLz!
We think that people aren’t giving enough credit to the recording, which was pretty flawless! She DID sing the hell out of it! Ha!
Plus, Beyonc├â┬⌐’s got back up anyway. Legit!
