Oooo… that’s right!! She did write that Essence article back in July, didn’t she??? What was it called again?? Oh, yeah… EAT. PLAY. LOVE.
That’s riiight! We totally forgot all about her diary entry!! LOLz!
In the piece, she poignantly expressed how wonderful it was when she took a lil’ break from her hectic music career to just enjoy time with herself.
Here, we’ll share a bit of it with you:
I’m drawn to the ocean. Whether it’s jumping from a yacht (those photos drive my mother crazy; she thinks it’s dangerous), swimming, snorkeling in the Red Sea (I’ve never seen fish so breathtaking), or just walking on the sand, the sea has a calming effect on me. Croatia has the most beautiful water ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ although it’s the saltiest I ever tasted. I floated on my back for close to an hour in the Mediterranean Sea. It was one of the best moments of my life.
And now she’s enjoying another great moment… but the critics aren’t! There has been a heavy amount of disdain for the decision to award B, with the critics arguing it devalues the prize.
But Michael Feeney, president of the NY chapter, defends it up and down, saying:
She won fair and square. I believe it was selected on content and the writing and not on her celebrity.
