And the whole rapper-turned-sneaker-designer trend contnues.
Last week we mentioned how Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas released his own sneakers in New York.
Well, now it’s Big Boi’s time and the OutKast rapper is releasing his own sneaker from Converse.
And to celebrate Big Boi’s new solo album, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, they’ll be producing a special limited edition run of Chuck Taylor All Stars designed by the rapper.
Says Big Boi:
“Everyone knows the Converse All Star logo and I was honored when they approached me to create a design in celebration of my album release.
It means a lot to me to give back to the fans that support my music, and as long as I can remember music and Converse have gone hand in hand, so partnering up with them was a no-brainer.”
Check out the video above to listen to what Big Boi has to say about the new sneakers and his partnership with Converse.
