Billy Joel’s daughter with ex-wife Christie Brinkley, Alexa Rae Joel, admits that she wasn’t surprised to receive word regarding her dad’s divorce from much-younger wife Katie Lee, because “I know my dad very well. So I├óΓé¼Γäóm behind him, you know.”
But with Joel’s legacy of failed marriage, has Alexa been jaded?
Of course not!
She says that she would “love to get married,” but doesn’t “necessarily think you need to get the government involved in order to celebrate your love. You can have a wedding, and have it be big and fabulous and not necessarily complicate it with the papers and all that. In what I├óΓé¼Γäóve seen ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ sure I have a different perspective on marriage and all of that. But I├óΓé¼Γäóm a true romantic and I will be having a wedding,[laughs] At one point, not now!”
That’s actually called a Speidi wedding!
