Bindi and Bob Irwin, the late Steve Irwin‘s two children, are clearly proof of just that! Though in an adorable selfie shared to Instagram on Saturday, the duo really surprised us!

For one, at just 11-years old, Bob is already a spitting image of his dad! And for another, Bindi traded in her signature blonde locks for this darker, deeper ‘do.
That’s one way to kick off the new year!
The 16-year-old is really owning the new dye, too, even pairing it with a dark eyeliner. Of course, with the teen also rocking natural makeup, we think it all works!
Either way, it’s obvious how much of their father you can see in the siblings. So sweet!
