While Blake Lively has yet to address she’s pregnant with baby number two, even despite displaying a growing baby bump, the actress got into the topic of motherhood in Marie Claire UK’s August issue!
Snagging yet another cover this summer, The Shallows starlet opened up for the magazine again talking about raising a daughter with Ryan Reynolds.

Dishing on the importance of keeping James‘ life private, Blake shared:
“My husband and I chose a profession and a side effect of that is your personal life is public. Our child hasn’t had the opportunity to choose whether or not she wants her personal life to be public or not. So in order to give her as much normality as possible, we want her to have a childhood like we had. So we can’t really throw her into the lion’s den that is LA, not that we really want to.”
The little one-year-old must have the most normal life ever… not that she knows it yet!
Of course with another baby on the way, it will be interesting to see if any of that changes for the adorable family.
But at least for Blake, while she’ll be a momma to two, motherhood won’t be any different. The 28-year-old admitted:
“When women become mothers, it’s all: ‘How’s your style?’, ‘Do you dress differently?’, ‘Do you go to Mommy & Me classes?’ I wanted to go to a Mommy & Me class before I was a mom. People really expect that you’re suddenly a different woman, and I think it strips a woman’s identity in a way that is kind of strange, because I’ve always been innately maternal my whole life.”
Sounds like she has everything all figured out!
Even when it comes to taking roles for movies, the baby bumpin’ starlet isn’t about settling if it means spending time away from her family!
The Los Angeles-native confessed:
“I’m always ambitious about film-making, but I love my personal life so much ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ and my family so much ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ that it takes a lot to make me want to leave the house. Most of the things I do, I fight for. But to want to fight for something? I have to be really stimulated by it.”
We can only imagine The Shallows must be super stimulating then. LOLz!
