Taylor Swift‘s friendship with the actress is over, and there is reportedly zero hope that things between them are “going to be fixed” in the future! And sadly, Rob Shuter of the Naughty But Nice Substack reports that their falling out has now hurt the pop star’s relationship with Blake and Ryan Reynolds‘ four children — James, Inez, Betty, and Olin — to whom she is their godmother! A source explained on Thursday:
“When Taylor’s friendship with Blake and Ryan ended, her role as an active godmother naturally faded too. There wasn’t a falling out with the children. She simply isn’t part of their everyday lives anymore.”

That became crystal clear when Blake, Ryan, and the kids didn’t show up to Taylor and Travis Kelce‘s lavish wedding at Madison Square Garden on Friday. Instead, the couple had been in upstate New York cheering on their daughter Betty at a horse racing show. And their absence ultimately said everything we needed to know about the state of the two women’s friendship after the Evermore singer got dragged into the lawsuit mess. Another insider pointed out:
“That told the whole story. Years ago they would have been front and center. Today, they’re no longer part of Taylor’s inner circle.”
Regardless, Taylor will forever care about Blake and Ryan’s kids. Nothing will ever change that fact. The source said:
“Taylor still has love for those kids. But relationships with children often depend on relationships with their parents. When the friendship ended, the connection naturally faded. It’s sad, but that’s the reality.”
Look, Taylor and Blake may no longer be close. Taylor also may not be in the kids’ lives as much moving forward. But we can totally see the pop star still sending gifts and being there for Betty, Inez, James, and Olin if they ever need anything — just as she reportedly did for her 10-year-old godson Leo Thames Newman when she had a falling out with his mom, Jaime King. And as the kids get older, maybe they’ll be able to form a new relationship with Taylor on their own terms — depending on how contentious things are between both parties. It’s still sad that right now the children are missing out on seeing someone who has been in their lives since the beginning…
