Blake Lively's Massive Upstate New York Compound Facing MAJOR Controversies Including Unpaid Workers And $2.1 Million Debt -- WHOA!

Aside from the It Ends With Us legal drama, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have been one of Hollywood’s most polished power couples, but their ultra-private Upstate New York paradise is suddenly looking a whole lot messier than the curated image they’ve spent years selling to the public!

According to shocking new reporting from DailyMail.com on Tuesday, the couple’s sprawling luxury compound in South Salem, New York has been slammed with more than $2.1 million in alleged unpaid contractor debt — which is a freakin’ TON — and the claims are seriously jaw-dropping!

Whoa!!

The famous A-list pair reportedly purchased the massive property through an LLC back in 2018 before quietly snapping up additional neighboring parcels of land over the years. Their vision, at least at the time, was to have a secluded 110-acre family sanctuary far away from the flashing lights of Hollywood and the chaos of Manhattan life, in a spot about 60 miles or so north of the Big Apple.

Blake herself once reportedly called the property “heaven” and “the most beautiful place in the world,” per DM, while promising local officials that she and Ryan wanted to create an environmentally conscious retreat where “our neighbors will never see us.”

Well… people are definitely seeing them now!

Instead of becoming the peaceful celebrity escape they dreamed about, the property has allegedly turned into a years-long construction nightmare complete with legal filings, alleged unpaid bills, and frustrated workers demanding their money. And the receipts are STACKING UP!

Court filings reviewed by the DM for a bombshell report published on Tuesday reportedly show that five separate contractors and subcontractors filed mechanic’s liens against the property earlier this year totaling a staggering $2,108,856.63. Yeesh!! That is NOT pocket change — even for two of Hollywood’s biggest stars!

The biggest claim reportedly comes from a company called FlowCon Inc., also known as Flower Construction, which filed a whopping lien for more than $1.3 million alone. The company allegedly handled major parts of the build including framing, electrical systems, plumbing, drywall, masonry, painting, waterproofing, HVAC work, and custom millwork.

Other companies are reportedly seeking payment for high-end copper roofing, structural steel fabrication, carpentry, geothermal excavation, drainage systems, and septic installation work. Basically, this wasn’t just some simple home renovation. This thing sounds like a full-blown luxury resort compound for the rich and famous!

And get this: the construction project appears to have stalled out either very late last year or sometime in very early 2026 after years of delays. That’s especially awkward considering Blake reportedly told planning officials back in 2022 that she was “desperate to get shovels in the ground and be living on this land.”

So much for that…

The legal and financial drama surrounding the property is also raising fresh questions about what may really be happening behind the scenes financially for the A-list couple. As Perezcious readers know, Blake spent months tangled in a brutal legal war tied to It Ends With Us and her ongoing feud with co-star Justin Baldoni. The ugly court battle reportedly cost both sides muh-muh-muh-millions in legal fees, public relations disasters, and nonstop negative headlines before finally reaching a settlement earlier this month. Yeah…

But even after the settlement, the drama apparently hasn’t completely cooled off. Blake reportedly continues trying to recover legal fees and damages connected to Baldoni’s failed countersuit. Now, with millions of dollars in liens hanging over their dream property, critics are starting to wonder whether the expensive legal war may have created financial strain behind closed doors for Blake and her Deadpool beau.

What makes this whole thing even more fascinating is how deeply personal this compound seemed to be for Blake and Ryan. During past planning board meetings in South Salem, Blake reportedly spoke passionately about preserving the history of the land while creating a permanent home for their four children. Those plans included a gigantic 14,500-square-foot main residence, a 3,306-square-foot pool house, a separate gym building, stables, barns, and even a massive swimming pool.

At one point, Blake reportedly assured local officials that they had “no plans” to sell off portions of the property because they wanted it to remain a true “family compound.”

Unfortunately, that dream is now being overshadowed by these shocking new allegations of unpaid workers, mounting debt, and a luxury construction project that appears… absolutely nowhere near complete.

And it now seems that until somebody starts cutting some serious checks, this headline-making controversy probably isn’t disappearing anytime soon. Just saying!
