Last week, the embattled co-stars FINALLY put their legal ordeal to rest after nearly two years of back-and-forth. The pair settled outside of court, so they will no longer be heading to trial. But they might be heading right back to Hollywood…

On Monday, sources spoke to Rob Shuter for his Naughty But Nice Substack about the possibility of an It Ends With Us sequel, given that Justin’s Wayfarer Studios owns the rights to a potential follow-up to the 2024 Colleen Hoover adaptation. And according to said source, the tides have changed after the lawsuit settlement:
“Justin finally feels like he can breathe again. For months, it was nonstop lawsuits, backlash, and crisis management. Now he’s focused on rebuilding.”
As we previously reported, Justin relocated his family to Nashville, Tennessee last year amid all the drama, which has brought him a great deal of tranquility. But he’s ready to begin “moving forward.”
A second source told Shuter:
“People genuinely thought the franchise was dead. Studios were nervous. Producers didn’t know if the sequel had become too toxic to touch.”
Seriously! We mean, that’s the logical thought, right? Who would want to touch anything to do with that with a 10 foot pole? Well, apparently Justin! A source added:
“Justin still believes in these stories and believes audiences are ready to move on. He thinks the focus can finally return to the movies instead of the drama.”
Inneresting, real inneresting! We guess he’s gotta make money somehow! Especially after all his legal drama!
As for whether Blake would return remains unclear. Though wildly enough, a source noted that while it’s unlikely, Justin is open to the possibility:
“Justin would work with Blake again if it helped save the franchise. He’s not interested in revenge. He just wants to make movies again.”
WOW. That’s kind of insane… Should these two not stay, like, a million miles away from each other? But we do know Blake is ready for a Hollywood comeback… So maybe, just maybe…
