Buddy, a five year old Shih Tzu who was left blinded from a cougar attack, depends on his guide dog Joey to take him around!
How sweet!
It all happened last February when Buddy was sitting outside and a cougar grabbed him.
The cougar eventually dropped Buddy whose eyes had popped out of their sockets from the pressure of the cougars teeth.
After five surgeries Buddy was doing ok, however blinded, he fell into a depression.
Buddy’s owners were advised to get another pup to help him get back to his normal playful self. They decided on an 8 month Shih Tzu/ Lhasa Apso mix.
At first Buddy was not interested in befriending the puppy Joey, however little by little they became very close.
Now the two don’t go anywhere without each other. Buddy follows Joey around who protects him from obstacles.
Buddy and Joey’s owners are not sure if Joey knows Buddy is blind, but it is an amazing friendship that keeps growing!
This is so cute, these two are BFFs!!!
