This is so scary.
A Saturday night explosion in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood left 29 people injured, and minutes later, a suspicious second device was found nearby by law enforcement.

The explosion, which detonated around 8:30 p.m. local time at 23rd Street and 6th Avenue in Manhattan, is what police are calling “an intentional act,” although NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio informed the media:
“There’s no specific and credible threat against New York City at this time from any terror organization.”
Investigators allege that the explosion was caused by a pressure cooker-type device — perhaps something similar to that used in the Boston Marathon bombings a few years ago — and placed in a dumpster.
The explosion was caught on surveillance video (below) too:
Yikes.
And in a scary twist, just blocks away from that explosion, police found that second pressure cooker (below) with wires coming out from it and a cell phone attached to it:
A note was allegedly found with that pressure cooker, though police will not say what was in the note or what else they may have found.
So scary.

Of course, this comes just hours after a small explosion rocked a 5k race in nearby New Jersey, too, though that particular one didn’t injure anybody.
We are just glad that in this case, nobody was killed — but our thoughts are still with the victims and those adversely affected by this scary, scary situation.
