After 30 years of rockin’ and rolling together, Jon Bon Jovi and his legendary guitarist, Richie Sambora, are parting ways!!!
Together they recorded 12 studio albums and sold 130 million records, but the 54-year-old axe man is truly done with Bon Jovi!
JBJ’s rep is keeping mum for the minute on the whys and hows of the departure, but folks close to the band say the split was necessary!
One source close to the situation revealed:
“There were a lot of well-documented problems, so this was the best decision for now.”
The writing has indeed been on the wall for a while. Months ago there was speculation of substance abuse on his part when the band’s website revealed Richie was abstaining from the Because We Can tour.
That statement read:
“Due to personal issues, Richie Sambora will not be performing on this upcoming leg. All shows will go on as scheduled.”
Sad face!!! We’re sure this is a statewide morning of mourning for many folks in New Jersey!
