The Box Office Numbers Are In! Did Spectre Hold The Top Spot, Or Was James Bond Vanquished?!

Ah, the silver screen!
This weekend’s box office numbers are coming through, and we are learning more about how Spectre, the Peanuts Movie and new releases like Love The Coopers did over the last several days!

In results that probably shouldn’t surprise you, Spectre held solid in the top spot as the Daniel Craig-led Bond film could not be taken down by any of the new releases!
Just like last week, The Peanuts Movie held strong in second place, too.
Love The Coopers premiered this weekend with a somewhat disappointing third place showing, racking up just $8.4 million — less than one-third of what Spectre and The Peanuts Movie each did — despite being shown in more than two-thirds as many theaters as the top two films!
With a soft opening in just ten theaters, By The Sea didn’t rank highly on a national level, but the film starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Pitt was well received by fans and critics in its opening weekend!
Another new release, The 33, rounded out the top five, finishing just behind The Martian, which is still running well in theaters.

Here is the top five, with weekend dollar amounts included (below):
1. Spectre, $35,400,000
2. The Peanuts Movie, $24,200,000
3. Love The Coopers, $8,400,000
4. The Martian, $6,725,000
5. The 33, $5,845,000
Did U go see anything in theaters this weekend??
