Sources told The Blast the estranged couple were quietly hashing out the specifics of their child custody and support issues in private for months, with both agreeing to keep things on the down low.

But everything changed when Angie parted ways with celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, and her new legal team began a media “full court press” and made everything public.
The insider said this new tactic forced Brad’s team to respond to the opposing forces, causing him to spill more of their financial secrets — like that $8 million loan he gave Angie to buy the home she’s currently living in.
Brad reportedly finds this public battle “disgusting” and “terrible for the kids,” especially the ones old enough to read the tabloids.
The source said the 54-year-old actor hopes his estranged wife sees the dangers of this and takes their fight out of the public eye.
