Hmmmm, interesting choice!
Brad Pitt was inundated with questions today at Cannes for the premiere of his new gangster flick Killing Them Softly.
Reporters asked whether Bad Brad the Dad had any problem playing a murderously violent criminal on screen for the entire world — and his children in particular — to witness.
His response:
“Not in any way, because murder is an accepted possibility when you’re dealing in crime. I would have a much harder time playing a racist or something along those lines. That would be much more unsettling for me than a guy who shoots another guy in the face.”
Remember that, studio execs, when you’re pitching his agent your next feel-good Third Reich flick!!
Brad would later add:
“We live in such a violent world. I certainly grew up hunting, which is a very violent act. Have you ever had a hamburger? Have you seen how they butcher cows? It’s barbaric, it’s horrendous, it’s very violent. This is the world we live in, so I see it as absolutely important to film.├óΓé¼┬¥
Ahhh. The “Hamburglar” defense!.
Invoking that one takes real moneyballs, LOLz!!
So how does he feel about man-on-man hot monkey love violence?
Does he condone Big Willie’s “slapgate” incident?
Brad offered his two cents:
“I wouldn’t want to slap anyone. That’s mean.├óΓé¼┬¥
Awww.
A murderous gangster with a heart of gold!!
