Brandi Cyrus has her sister’s back!
The 32-year-old addressed Miley Cyrus‘ split from husband Liam Hemsworth and her recent Italian getaway with Kaitlynn Carter on Tuesday’s episode of her podcast ‘Your Favorite Thing.’

Kicking off the episode, cohost Wells Adams addressed the obvious elephant in the room:
“My podcast worlds are colliding here. I do this show with you and you’re the older sister of Miley and then I do with Steph Pratt, who’s on a TV show with Kaitlynn and it’s f—-king weird, man, and I don’t know how to deal with it. But what is going on?”
Brandi joked her cohost was “jealous” he wasn’t clued in on the split and subsequent vacation before going into more detail:
“It’s not my business to talk about and it’s nothing anything of mine to tell. There’s nothing I can really say. I just, I’m here for her, obviously, and I’ve been spending a lot of time with her. When she’s ready to talk about it or whatever, then she will.”
While this is the first time she’s addressed the separation head on, Miley’s big sis shared a reflective message (below) to Instagram on Tuesday from the girls getaway:
As we previously reported, Cyrus’ rep confirmed on Saturday she and the Hunger Games star had split (dare we say, consciously uncoupled?) after a decade of on and off dating and eight months of marriage:
“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
Using similar language to the (above) statement, the Nothing Breaks Like A Heart songstress seemingly addressed her “evolution” via IG on Sunday:
“Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win. Like the mountain I am standing on top of , which was once under water , connected with Africa , change is inevitable. The Dolomites were not created over night, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed. My dad always told me “ Nature never hurries but it is always on time”…. it fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true. I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own …. ?”
Not long after the sad news broke, photos emerged of Cyrus having a makeout sesh with none other than Carter, who recently separated from “husband”/boyfriend Brody Jenner.
We’re glad Miley has people in her life like Brandi (and Kaitlynn) to get her through a tough time!
